Erin short, c.e.o & Co-Founder

Hailing from a strong military background within the logistics sector, Erin found a great career path within the army, excelling through the ranks he completed an NVQ in load and logistics management.

Deployed to Afghanistan he controlled the movement and logistic planning of a fleet of HGV. Upon leaving the military, Erin went back into education and completed a degree in Business management whilst completing his degree Erin drove HGV’s. Driving for various temp agencies all over the UK to pay for his education, Erin committed to the HGV driver lifestyle, for which he gained valuable inside insight for the development of this application.

Erin now oversees the Avail company as whole, ensuring the business grows in the correct way and that our mission is delivered


Callum Clark, C.O.O & CO-Founder

Callum has a demonstrated history of working in the transportation/logistics industry, he started out as an apprentice transport planner for Howard Tenens where he undertook duties that ranged from planning loads and routes for Tautliners, Fridges, Containers and Low Loaders.

Upon completion of the apprenticeship he took a role at WMBL Ltd as Transport Planner, after 3 months of being there was quickly promoted to logistics manager, this included duties such as; planning routes, organising staff, costing and budgeting of all logistics costs, global imports/exports, shipping container managing and controlling and calculating inloads / outloads and costing, driving to keep efficiency up and cost down.  

Callum now oversees all Avail’s internal operations, marketing and branding.


John connolly, C.T.O

John Connolly is Co-Founder and Managing Director of C4DI (The Centre for Digital Innovation), a privately funded and managed technology incubator based in Hull. C4DI helps tech companies grow and traditional businesses innovate. John has extensive experience of setting up technology businesses and taking them from concept through to profitability. Over the last few years he has built businesses specialising in a range of technologies including desktop software, mobile apps, gaming, SaaS products and Interactive video. He also sits on the boards of a number of tech start-ups and charities. He studied Electronic Engineering at Dundee University and has a degree in Computing Science from Newcastle University.

John is Avail’s Chief Technology Officer and supports and oversees application development, technology implementation as well as sitting on the board of directors.
